Wow. Sorry. It's been ages! The weekend before last was spent drinking and dancing with various friends. On the Sunday we bought our new baby- a pearl (pale) blue VW Golf 3 and went out of town with Koko and other friends to have a walk in the woods, breathe the mountain air and enjoy a beer and picnic around a bonfire! Last week I met Dima's cousin and his wife, kid and bumps (his was beer, hers is another boy due soon!). Again, really friendly and welcoming people. Last week flew by actually. Aside from 41 hours teaching, I spent every evening with Dima in the office translating his company Statutes into English. Friday saw us have a well-earned early night (well, not so early- wine and watching a couple of episodes of Fawlty Towers in bed! hehe). On Saturday we went to Nicole's birthday party (my German friend) and enjoyed home-made wine (sitting under the vine that produceth), Georgian grub, many toasts and I even tried my hand (and feet) at Georgian dancing! Yesterday Dima, Davit, Nino and I drove an hour out of Tbilisi (even though it was Tbilisoba -the annual Tbilisi Day!) to Ananuri- an ancient church overlooking a long blue lake. Stunning. (And the potential location for a future property investment, methinks!!!) I have to go apply for my work visa tomorrow and I'll also be having my forst Georgian class, but if I get time, I'll put on some photos. Hope you are all well. Keep in touch.
