A busy few weeks working at school and I am tired (though that could also be due to late nights and dancing for five hours non-stop last night! :-). I've also spent a lot of time at the dentist's. I hadn't been for two years and one of my bottom molars was hurting. Tamuna the dentist is Dima's friend so I was in good hands. She discovered four fillings other than the one I wanted done (I was told about two of these two years ago but had never got round tfixing them as they didn't hurt). She filled all the holes for 30GEL (£10) per filling but this week the pain in the original tooth I'd gone in for got worse and worse... and I reluctantly agreed that a root canal was needed. I had it done today. It was the worse pain of my life so far! I never used to have problems with dentists but for some reason I seem to have become allergic! I was so nervous I was shaking (also due to lack of sleep I think ;-) ) and even after five injections I could still feel the pain!!! Tamuna was amazed!! I was so embarrassed I couldn't stop shaking and crying like a scardy-cat but she was great! She managed to kill one of the three nerves but it hurt so much that they decided to leave the other two and cover them with a special paste to kill them over the next two days. I'm going back on Monday to have the tooth capped (by then the nerves should be dead!) and until then I'm on extra strong painkillers! And despite this one root canal (my fault for ignoring the problem for so long), I've been told my teeth are brilliant and very strong! Next time I will not ignore pain: lesson learnt!!!
Out to meet friends now. More photos to follow next week.
Love to you all
