IT'S CHRIIIISTMAAASSSS!!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE! We've done Xmas (25th December): I gave presents and cooked a passable roast dinner; tonight is New Year's Eve where, by Georgian tradition, we'll stay at home until just after midnight and eat the roast piglet we bought yesterday (we took it to a traditional bake house today and as I type it is being roasted in a huge stone fire-oven with twenty other piglets / pigs!!!) and then we're going out to meet friends and (hopefully) see the Gypsy Kings in an open-air concert in the main square! And that's not all... next Monday is Georgian Christmas (they didn't really celebrate my one!) and the Monday after that is Georgian Old New Year and Dima's 30th birthday- so I'm getting double celebrations of everything! lol I'm on holiday this week and will have the two Mondays off. On Jan 2nd we're off with a few friends for a five day holiday in Bakuriani-a ski resort (I suspect the entire population of Georgia is also going!) for me and Nicole to practice on the beginners' slope while Dima and co. ski the professional ones!!! We'll also do some walking...and some drinking :-).
Thinking of you all. Good luck, health, wealth and happiness for the New Year!!! xxxxx
