Batumi

This is Valia and her husband (can't remember his name, but we all called him Tarzani!)- a local Batumi couple who welcomed us into their house as if we were a part of their family! It was a basic one-bedroom house (they gave up their bed for their paying guests!) with an outside toilet and- at the time we were there- no hot running water (the experience of sitting naked while someone pours warm water over you- as people did before showers came along!- is a luxury in itself and I highly recommend it! hehe). They were such bright and friendly people, I really enjoyed my stay with them and we will be going back there again, not least for Valia's roast chicken which was to die for!
