After the August war, the Bank of Georgia invested money in planting pine trees to replace areas of forest around Borjomi (a major mineral water source and a beautiful place to visit) that were damaged by fire. As clients of that bank, Dima and I were invited to go along and actually do the planting! Between just the two of us we must have planted about 80 trees- and there were about 70 people there planting too! Then we were treated to a picnic lunch in the sun before being coached back to Tbilisi. The bank is taking all of us back there in May to see how our "babies" are growing.
