October-November: making churchela











The photos from our weekend in Sighnaghi with Nino and her family- boil grapes; keep

stirring until stiff; string nuts on string, dip line of nuts into grape goo, twist, pull out, hang til dry; give to unsuspecting (and slightly alarmed!) friends and family in the UK at Xmas to eat!

Then cook meat over remaining ashes to celebrate another year's churchela well done!
